The computer with internet facility is available for all bonafide residents. The computer connected to the University network can be accessed for academic pursuits.

ISH has an air-conditioned reading room for the study of its residents. A well-lit furnishe AC room provides good space for studying/reading.

Spacious common room is provided, which has a place for constructive activities like indoor games, discussions and get together within the hostel. The common room is equipped with a big screen TV set with cable connection from Tata Sky. The hostel provides the students with daily newspapers and various magazines to make them aware of the daily happenings in the world.

The house provides facilities for outdoor games like the Badminton, Cricket, Football, Tug of war etc.

Mess facility is an integral part of the hostel which provides nutritious homely and hygienic food to all its students. It provides meals a day quality food is prepared under strict hygienic conditions. The mess is run by the residents of the House in consultation with the Hostel authorities on a no-profit no-loss basis. It provides homely/delicious food for breakfast lunch and dinner. In case of illness, resident may be served food in their rooms with the permission of the Warden. The Hostel authorities may allow a few Non Resident Dining Members (NRDMs) to bona-fide students of the University of Delhi on the recommendation of a regular resident.

The house provides facilities for indoor games like the Carrom, Chess, Badminton, Table Tennis etc.

A guest room is available only to the parents and the sister if accompanied by parents of the regular resident.

The ISH has semi-automatic washing machines which are being used by the residents regularly.

The house also provides 24/7 Internet Access with Wi-Fi facility to its residents.

Iniated by the Union of 2017-18,ISH now has a cycle club where departing residents can donate their bicycles and motor bikes which the house will fix for use by any resident for an entire year upon paying Rupees 1000\- as caution money.

A canteen also runs in the hostel premises for refreshment of the resident and their guests in addition of House mess.

Intercom facility is available so that one can connect from individual room. The incoming call facility is also available so that parents and local guardians can be in regular touch with the residents.

The residents of the house are members of the W. U. S. Health Centre which is situated in the University Campus.

The hostel campus is CCTV-enabled to cater to the safety requirements of a well endowed and equipped campus receiving a huge footfall. 24 Hrs. Security Guards/Caretaker with C.C.T.V. security system are available to provide a secure environment to its residents.

The basic need of hot water is very important for all the students’ especially in winter; the house provides Geysers in each bathroom for hot water supply in the winter.

In ISH, Mess and Reading Room are connected with the inverter to provide electricity during a power failure.
